How can Margins be moved?

How can Margins be moved?

I started typing a letter and after a few lines, I wanted to move both margins a little closer to the edge of the document. I tried to click and drag the blue indicators in the ruler since this seemed like the intuitive Apple way to do it, and it wouldn't respond. Even clicking on command or control when clicking and dragging did not work. I went to the "Help" section and could not find anything on setting margins or tabs. Spaces between tabs, yes, but nothing on moving Margins. Thanks for your help.

You haven't said what version of Pages.

Let's assume Pages 5.5.3.

Toolbar > Document > Document > Document Margins

That was the answer. Why that couldn't be found in Pages/Help, I don't know. Thanks.

In the Pages v5.5.3 online help page, it is in the third topic down (Format Documents), and the second item within this category is (Set top and bottom margins).

Thanks. I guess I was focused so intently on the right and left margins, I might have overlooked the top and bottom margins suggestion. I appreciate your help.

Not in my search in Help Viking.

In fact it is throwing up Help for Pages '09 in parts, although it is showing Pages 5.5.3.

I have given feedback to Apple along the line that they should get someone to check their work. This is getting beyond a joke.

Thank you, Peter. I was beginning to think that I was just not adept at finding the right answers. Unfortunate that Apple is not entirely up to date with their "Help" function. It's also good to know people like you are catching this and letting Apple know through feedback.
