My music won't go from my iMac to my iPhone

I have the newest iMac, and I have a iPhone 5s with IOS 8.3. When ever i try to put my music from my iMac to my iPhone it won't let me please help. I have a bunch of songs that i didn't buy i just downloaded them so they can't be shared through iCloud.
