new hard drive has smart error, do not want to buy a new one
Got a new hard drive when my other one failed. The new one is a 500 gb sata western hard drive. It worked easily, but the operating system was the old one. I
decided to upgrade to yosemite although i was wary hat the hard drive could crash. The genuis bar did say that it may run slow with the latest os. It did one or
two days later and now has a smart error on it under disk. It takes forever to even get to the disk utility setting as the start up is slow.
utilities. Do not want to buy a new hard drive.
