time machine icon missing from menu bar

Question

The Time Machine iCon from Menu Bar was missing even when backing up and using time machine for my mac on Yosemite OS X 10.10.3

, however finally found the solution in this easy to follow video :

You don't need to watch a YouTube video

System Preferences >> Time Machine >> check the checkbox Show Time Machine on the Menu bar.
