Whatsapp backed up and wantedon a new device

Greetings;

My problem is as follow:

1. I have old iphone 4s, with 2.8GB whatsaap valuable media and msgs.
2. I have enabled iCloud + i Drive on the 4s and successfully backed-up whatsapp.(after miserable timeouts and disconnections!)
3. I purchased new iPhone 6, set up as a new device.
4. enabled iCloud on phone6. + iDrive
5. installed whatsaap on the new device from app-store.
6. whatsapp has checked if there is a backup on the iCloud and could NOT find one!

I noticed that iCloud has two backsups at the moment, one for the old 4s and one for the new 6.

help me please, apple is driving me crazy.
