Apple watch resting calories seem far too high

I've had the apple watch since the 24th, and I've worn it continuously until bedtime. All of my metrics are accurate (height/weight).

My Resting Calories (found in the iPhone activity app by swiping left under the move row) are listed as 3600 Cal. This seems incredibly high to me. My BMR is 2100 Cal, as calculated here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator

I've used other BMR sites and they all give me a similar number.

Is anyone else having this issue? I can't comprehend how it could be so high. If I ate 3600 Cal in one day (without exercising) I would be gaining weight rapidly!

The problem is the resting calories start way to high and then seem to calculate and get increase throughout the day too high.

The number that it finally arrives at for resting calories is way over (for me by over 1000 calories) for most people.

Mine comes to over 2700 and every other tracker, calculation and even dunk test I have used is at between 1500-1700 calories.

Yes there is no "sorting out" or calibrating. If you see a resting calorie number for today that is being scaled by the number of hours that have passed. So at 12 noon it will show exactly 1/2 what the total will be at midnight. You can check this by doing the math and comparing it the overall resting calories for previous days (which are always exactly the same).

I though that the 1.0.1 update would fix the bug, but it didn't!
