My 2009 Macbook Pro has been running hot as soon as it is in use. CPU is currently at 80 degrees and the fan is running at 1999rpm. Any recommendations or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) and Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM. If that doesn't help then: Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service. Stop using it until it is repaired.
