Unused Partition

I created a Partition for OS X Beta, and am not using it anymore. I deleted the partition, and it turned into "Free Space". I tried reformatting it but it won't apply. Also I can't resize Macintosh HD for some reason.

Cheers,

Adam

I don't think you need to make a backup, but it can never hurt. The cs commands are pretty safe. If it's incorrect it will respond as such and not run the command line. That said, I've used this for others and it has worked for them.

You need to reboot when it's done. Now when you open Disk Utility you should see a disk structure you are familiar with. You should now be able to remove the second partition and extend the main volume.
