I have an iPhone 5s recently for some unknown reason a few of my apps are not working when using wifi (AE). I have a router through my internet provider that my AE is connected to for wifi. I have reset everything but still not helping. My tv is also not connecting to the AE as well.

Reset from what device?
If the TV is not working as well as the phone then it can be something more serious.
Is the router your ISP supplied also wireless?? If so does the TV and the iphone work when connected to it?
What model AE is it? A1xxx from the base please.
How is it configured?
Please give a couple of screenshots of the setup.. summary page.. and show any errors the AE is showing.
