linking a second hand ipod
I have just bought a second hand iPod, do I have to wait 90 days before I can link to my account?
iPod touch, iOS 8.1.1

Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
which includes
After you associate a device with your Apple ID, you can't associate that device with another Apple ID for 90 days.
The 90 days start when the association with the other ID was initially made. Not 90 days it was restored.
