When I try to record a voice note in iMessage (or whatsapp) ht epic is only recording for 10 seconds after which it stops. Ive reset the phone's settings, restored the phone from a previous backup and none of those methods have helped. Can anyone advise how to fix this annoying issue?

THis happens to me as well. It happens with whatsapp too. It has something to do with the screen protector. I have a tempered glass on my phone and it happened all the time, until I found out the answer on the web: move your finger a little bit around the mic symbol while holding when you are recording your voice note/message. It works!!! I do not plan to remove the protection from my screen, so that'll do. Try it.
