Q: No reminders app on the watch?

I do understand that the watch will pop up any reminders that have a time/date/location set on them.  And I understand that you can add a reminder using siri on the watch.  However, the fact that you can't view your reminders on the watch seems like a big oversight on apple's part.  I use the reminders app for a lot of things, including shopping lists.  It would be quite useful to be able to check off items from the Reminder's app right on your watch.

I suppose I could use a different app, anyone know of a good list/reminder app that works on the Apple Watch?

Wunderlist works really well on the watch so far!  I have the free version. You can check off tasks through the watch.

I agree with you on this - I use reminders for shopping lists all the time, and use Siri to add items to the list.   Would really like to be able to check things off of my list from WATCH as I'm shopping.

In the interim, I'm using BRING! for shopping lists on my WATCH.   It's mostly grocery store based.   You can add your own items though - just without icons so you can keep a list for things around the house.

I like that on WATCH items end up as full screen icons that you can scroll through with the digital crown, and check off just by tapping the screen.   Some of the other list apps I tried had tiny text - not ideal for shopping (too much squinting).   I like to see a big icon that looks like a Bell Pepper, Onion, or loaf of bread.

I use Omnifocus, but I suspect it's overkill (and expensive) for reminders

I Installed Up Next to view my reminders lists on the Watch. It works, but a built in solution from Apple would be better. Not pushing the grocery cart one handed while holding an iPhone was one of the top uses I planned on for the watch.

I use Wunderlist Premium, but on the Apple Watch you can only look at your lists.

Does anyone know how to add to a list on the watch?

Is anyone using any app to add to a list on the watch

That is all I want to do, add a simple to do on the watch on the fly

I am sure I could transfer it to my preferred app later on when I had time to grab my phone, use a more powerful app and better organize my day.

Clear like Wunderlist will only allow you to look at your lists on the watch

Evernote will even allow you to add on the AppleWatch, but not Clear or Wunderlist

After reading TrooperDog's response I went to the Apple Store and checked to make sure I had the latest versions of each, I do.

Until then it is the "Up Next" app for adding simple reminders and Evernote for adding items in all ready existing complex lists and other ongoing Data

BTW the support of Up Next is great.  I have shared several emails with the developer and got reponse right away including an invite to try the Beta for the next public release

The only app I've found that allows viewing of all of your lists and working with them Is Reminders Nano.  although I would prefer using a native app directly this one works seamlessly with the native.  The app installs to your app cluster. There is no glances view yet but maybe with next update.

checked out your suggestion of Reminders Nano in the App Store and I am glad that I see the + key as in add a to do or reminder on the watch.  In this case it works similar to "Up Next."  The App I found yesterday that has great customer support, as I have talked to the developer a few times by email in the past day.  So I am going to stick with Up Next, but thanks

    I am trying Clear.

Its very minimalistic. But it works well.

And yes you can add tasks on the watch.

It syncs across all of my Apple devices.

Its not free. But it doesn't cost a lot.
