My laptop will recognize the USB in place and when the Ipod is attached; however my ipod isnt charging, or showing on either screen that it is connected - so i cant sync my things. However my ipad is able to connect fine and will sync.
Why isnt my ipod connecting poperly?!

- Try another cable unless you are using same cable as works with iPad.
- If a 5G iPod

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
