Old Apple ID, changed password, no access to email

Hi

I have an apple ID that is linked to an old email address that I no longer have access to, I tried to update the password and I am now locked out and cannot reset the password as I can't get to the email aaccount (catch 22). Neither can I access it through the security questions as I didn't set these up. Is there a way to transfer items from a locked Apple ID to a new account without having access to the old account?

Or do I set up a new ID an lose all my music and books?

It seems you are experiencing an issue with your Apple ID. If you do not have access to the email address and therefore can not reset the password, you can follow the steps in this article:

If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support

Contact us

Go to System Status and see if Apple ID is available. If you still can't find the reset email or verification email, contact Apple Support.
