We recently got a new MacPro that came with Yosemite but we are having issues with smb connections so we would like to know if is possible to downgrade to Mountain Lion in this MacPro.

The earliest OSX version for the 2013 Mac is Mavericks. Earlier OSX versions do not have the drivers for the hardware.

You need 'access' to or have saved the installer (always a good idea) for Mavericks.
But no to anything prior to 10.9.x that the Late 2013 6,1's came with.
