chrome flag- enable npapi

I have the new Macbook. I was having trouble viewing plug-ins on a site that uses Java 7 & 8. So, technical support for the site recommended I type in chrome://flags in the chrome browser, then find ENABLE NPAPI to enable it. After I this, I am unable to open Chrome. When I was in Chrome right after this, I received error pages with script when I tried to open any page. Now, I am unable to even open Chrome. The open menu does not appear when I click on Cjrome icon. Nothing happens when I click on the Chrome icon. I am using Safari browser to access this forum right now.
