Does an Apple gift card ever expire (like cash)? Or is there typically an expiration date on the card when it's purchased. The gift card/certificate would be used with products like iPhone not for iTunes. (P.S. Couldn't find the right forum to post this, so if you have suggestions, please let me know.) Thanks.

I have a gift card with a 2012 date on the back. I went to web address on the back, and the address no longer exists. I went to Gift Cards - Apple link and the card does not exist in the system. So, they do expire. I also checked with a real perosn at Apple as well.
