i wanted to ask if there is any way to install Mountain Lion to the new macbook air 11' 2015.
I have tried through a usb stick, but the machine won't let me :-(

Do you know why is this happening? Im thinking to copy a version from another laptop with carbon copy cloner and install it in target mode
It happens when the hardware is new and not supported in an earlier version of OS X. Fight the impulse to do it unless you don't mind having to reinstall everything from scratch twice.
Ohhh dear Kappy you were sooo right… I did it and then when i restarted the laptop couldn't boot :-(
