Q: Remote Desktop Update

Update for Remote Desktop has appeared and wondering if this is standard or irrelevant as I don't recall ever adding this to system.

Is Remote Desktop a factory installed app or something added by customer?

    It's part of the Operating System and comes pre-installed. You should update it whether you use it or not. You'll find where it lives in the Sharing Preferences Pane. It's called Remote Management. You'll have used it if you've ever used the built-in Screen Sharing feature.
