They were enabled, but now when I checked the video it opened normally. Yesterday when I tried there were no alerts. The progress bar moved about 1/3 of the way and stopped. It just sat that way for maybe half an hour.

Safari loads a little less than halfway and just sits there.
Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data:
Press the “Details” button.
Remove YouTube related cookies.

If I quit Safari and then restart it, I can go to the URL.
1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press “Delete All” button under “Browsing Data and Settings”.
2. Install Adobe Flash Player.

Download it and quit Safari from Safari menu in the menu bar.
Follow the prompts to install Adobe Flash Player.
3. Allow Plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
Enable it.
Ok Dominic, I've done that and checked a number of Youtubes via a google search and so far it seems to work. I'll report back once I see if it holds. Thanks again.
