My wife and I share the same account under my name. She has her own email address but all information is shared between all devices, two phones, one iPad and a Mac desktop. I would like to have each account separate and private except when I want to share data like pics and some emails. How do I prevent all data from automatically shared with all devices?

iPads are designed to be single user devices. You can't have seperate accounts on one device. Your wife needs her own Apple ID on her devides. If you don't want to get seperate IDs your wife needs to log in to the email provider on Safari and get her mail that way.

Thank you for your response. I am not paying for another account for my wife so I guess I have to learn to live with her shared access to everything.
You're welcome. By accounts if you mean Apple ID and email accounts they're free so there's no problem there. If you mean cellular accounts for the phone maybe your provider has a family discount you could use.
If you decide on another Apple ID her phone would need to be erased and set-up using her Apple ID.
