Hi there everyone so I've had my ipod touch for over a month and when i first had it had this problem with the ipod deleting all the music that i put on to the ipod and now today while at work plugged my ipod into my work computer to configure one album and the ipod deleted all the music that was on the ipod for having 12gb left to then going to 24gb left, what would you suggest about this issue.

You can only sync with one computer/iTunes library. If you sync to another computer the media currently on the iPod will be deleted and replaced with what you sync from the new computer.
Only sync to one computer. If yo want to switch syncing computer then:

I did not sync to the pc I was just editing an album to put all the songs from that album into one album as it was in separate albums on the ipod.
But you connected the iPod to a different computer at work, right?
Normally do yo not sync with your home computer?
Did you use iTunes?
Yes i did connect to my computer at work but i did not sync all i did was changed the album artist on one of the albums which should make the whole ipod sync and should just sync the song.
No, you can only sync to one computer

I did not sync the ipod with my work pc all i did was plugged it in and edited songs that were on the ipod and editing the album artist section on it. and after editing then music was visible on the ipod screen on the pc but not visible on the actual ipod and i cannot play the music on the pc from the ipod as it shows a circle with an ! exclamation mark in the middle.
Did you do it via iTunes?
If you used a third-party app instead those some mess up media on the iPod.
I used iTunes, this should not delete all my songs
But is appears that it did delete the songs.
yes i know, ive had this issue before but is was when i was putting music on my ipod this is what would show up, (see picture for error)
The circled ! means the iPod can't find the song file. The iPod only finds the song title
This should not happen, with old ipod touch 2g i am able to plug it into any pc and be able to click the music and it plays with this i click the song and that circle comes up.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
