Upon Restart of App - I see Welcome Screen Again! And then then it seems to hang with a spinning grey wheel.

I've started Photos and on the first start up it pulled in my library almost instantly and i managed to see images from my library.

Upon restart of Photos for Mac app on Mac OS X Yosemite, the software brings up the Photos for App Welcome screen and asks if i get should get started again.

But no its taking way longer and that grey spinning wheel is going forever. I wonder whats going on.

My attempt to simply Quit the app, pulls up another caution telling me I cannot close the app because its either creating a library of attempt access a library.

What should I do??! Is it safe to force quit the App?

First I have the same scenario. I had Photos working fine, and then one day it fired up and landed on the Welcome screen with the spinning pin wheel. Its been sitting like this for days. I just read on another thread that you can force Photos to rebuild your library by holding down ⌥ and ⌘ while you launch the application. I plan on giving this a shot when I get home tonight. Good luck and let us know if this works for ya.
