Help, I've migrated my iPhoto library to Photos, and all the images are blank. Any answers?

Where is your iPhoto Library stored? In your Pictures folder, as is the default, or on an external drive?

Try to repair your Photos library using the First Aid Tools:

  • Make a backup copy of your Photos Library on an external drive.
  • To repair hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking thePhotos application in the Applications folder to launch the First aid tools. Hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
  • The select "Repair ...".

If that does not solve the problem of the empty albums, repair and rebuild the original iPhoto Library that you migrated to Photos, and then migrate the library again:Make a backup copy on an external drive. Then try the iPhoto Library First Aid Tools on your iPhoto Library to repair the permissions and to repair the database.

  • To repair hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto application in the Applications folder to launch the iPhotos Library First aid tools. Hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
  • The select "Repair database". Repeat with "repair Permissions".

If it still does not suffice, repeat with "Rebuild Library".

Then try to migrate the library again to Photos by dragging it onto the Photos icon in the Dock.
