how do I set up FaceTime for Mac on OS X Yosemite
I tried to get the app but get an error that OS X is too new
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Facetime is already included, there is no need to download a version. The version shown in the App Store is for older operating systems.
