Q: Why can't I publish to 3rd party?

For a long time I've had a site published through iWeb and was able to update it. I just tried updating it yesterday (hadn't touched it in a while) and it wouldn't give me the Publish / FTP page -- only a Login window for Mobile Me.

I was always hosting the site with my own domain and 3rd-party hosting (GoDaddy.)

Any way to update/ use my site or is it history along with iWeb and Mobile Me?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5), Quad Core, Intel Xeon

A:

MobileMe closed 3 years ago. It was in the mail.

If you use iWeb 3.0 click the Sitename on the left en choose FTP or Folder to publish.

If you use an older version, publish to a folder.

Perhaps you can remember how you put the files on the server at GoDaddy.

I never used Mobile Me.

I use iWeb '11.

Problem solved-- I found that I hadn't clicked on the proper page to get the Publishing page.

No you don't use iWeb 11, because iWeb 11 does not exist.

You do however use iWeb 09, which was part of iLife 11, which does exist.
