My tattoos are keeping my watch from working.

Every time I raise my wrist the watch is locked and I have to retype in the password. It works fine on my right wrist, which has no tattoos, but I am not left handed. I can turn off wrist detection, but then I lose apple pay and some of my notifications don't pop up.

Is anyone else having this issue? I went to the apple store genius bar and they had no idea what to do and offered to send the watch off to be replaced, but I declined because that would not fix the issue.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem, and if they have found a combination of settings that works well for them.

The best thing I can suggest is switching off wrist detection and do not use the password (Sadly disables Apple Pay for those that have it) and this seems to enable to at least use about 95% of the watches capibilities.
