A scam popup. Choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, close Safari, and then launch it with the Shift key held down. If that doesn't work, temporarily disconnect the computer from the Internet.

I Received a critical security alert message and a number to call. I could not close it, nor go to any other website. I reached a man who said it was a private company, so I declined his help, but rebooting failed and I ran a full security scan which turned up nothiing. So i came here via my iPad, tiried this and it worked! The message was from "Mac-popup-support.com". 🙂
The scammers are creating as many of these "traps" as they can under numerous names and phone numbers. Unfortunately, a lot of folks are falling for them and giving them hundreds of dollars to do nothing.

I opened Safari Preferences/Privacy/Details (of Website Data/Cookies Stored) search for the word fix
Deleted everything with that in it.
Problem solved.
