MacOS Yomemite cannot Airdrop or pair with Iphone 5S iOS 8.3 via Bluetooth

Hi,

I updated my Macbook Pro (Early 2011) to Yomemite 10.10.3 and my iPhone 5S to iOS 8.3 yesterday. The problems are:

1. Macbook and Iphone don't see each other in Airdrop. They are connecting to the same network. And one note that in the airdrop window, I cannot see the menu "Airdrop: Eveyone or Contact", like this attached screenshot. I found that the others always see this menu in airdrop menu.

2. My Macbook Pro and iPhone cannot pair via Bluetooth. They are always in status of "Not Connected". When I try to connect from iPhone, he announces the message as a attached screenshot:

I've tried to restart/re-enable/forget network. Is it necessary to reinstall MacOS Yosemite?

Thanks so much for your supports.

Hi Niel;

I think that requirement (Macbook 2012 and later) is for Handoff feature. I found out my Macbook does not support Handoff feature, but my question is about Airdrop feature. You should know that I had used Airdrop feature to transfer files with my iPhone (iOS8.1) before I upgraded to latest OS yesterday.

Hope to hear more feedback from you Niel.

Thanks
