I'm new here but I've recently fixed the Error 9006 on iTunes though I am currently using Windows 10.

Go to the Menu Bar > Help > Run Diagnosis

(It may tell you that iTunes is unable to connect to the Apple Store)

Click HELP

(It then explains how to go into your firewall and add iTunes as a rule for Window 7 to 8)

For Windows 10

Go to Start > Settings > Updates and Security > Windows Firewall

Scroll until you can see Inbound Rules and click it

At the far right you will see New Rule, click it

Then select Browse

Navigate to Program Files (x86)

Navigate to iTunes then click Open

Then click the iTunes within that folder then click Open again

Then select As Rules Applies and select all options, Then click Next

Type any file name then Finish.

Run Diagnosis again to make sure the changes are set.
