content code is not working

Ok so I got an email from apple with a locked pdf and password to open it and I did and on the first page was the resourse code and I copied and pasted that into the mac app store and it said this code is temporarily unavailable please try again and I did many times even contacted apply by email and they said try again and it didn't work so please can anybody help
