Help!!!! I've lost over 14,000 photos

Yesterday I was scanning photos into my MacBook Pro & it told me to set up a new album which I done, anyway, since re-opening my iPhoto over 14,000 of my photos have GONE 😟 😟 😟

The only photos that are in there are the ones I scanned in yesterday.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help

This is every picture I've ever taken & I am devastated 😟

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:

what system are you running?
are you runnning iPhoto or Photos?
if iPhoto what version are you using?
what do you see in the iPhoto window when open the library?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
