Q: Has anyone found a really good combination Apple Watch/iPhone 6+ charging dock?

I have the 42mm with Milanese band (and I love it! and every night, after I plug in my iPhone 6+, I put the watch back on the firm insert that came in the box so it doesn't lie down flat on my table and possibly get scratched. I think it would be so much easier to just put both on the same dock or stand. I've seen some online, but there's no real feedback yet. Has anyone here had any experience with one? Thanks for your input.

I'm not good for waiting on things to come out so I went for the Morphie watch dock.  I have a separate Morphie juice pack dock for my iPhone 6  but I like some of the ideas for a combined one.  The dock ships early this month http://www.mophie.com/shop/apple-watch-dock. Good luck finding one!

I LOVE your project! Unfortunately, on a teacher's salary I cannot afford the $119 after the huge purchase just made.

Best of luck on your business. I'm sure it will be successful and , maybe one day, I will be able to have it at my house.

This one is even more expensive. I actually like the look and size of the one mentioned by deggie, but thanks for your input.

Hi deggie! I'd just decided to pull the plug and use the GC's I received for the holidays from my students on your(?) project. It looks compact and well thought out.

I went to the site only to find that funding has been suspended. Not being familiar with Kickstarter, I'm not sure if that means this is the end of the project or if it's 'an intermission' in funding. Can you explain to me? Thanks!

I'm disappointed. I liked the set up of this one for my watch with Milanese band. So I guess I'm back to square one. Has anyone found a good combination charger that comes with extra charging cable for the watch?

I saw this stand Bandstand from Standzout (http://gobandstand.com/) and liked the look and minimalist approach to charging both my watch and phone. I'm a bit confused about whether it comes with its own charger or not, though. Obviously, I would prefer the former, since then my charger could serve as an emergency one when out of the house, but do not know if this is so.

    What do you think?

from the looks of it it looks like you have to provide the charging cable - thats true of just about all the charging stands currently available or being developed

I'd seen this write up on igeeksblog " Bandstand Apple Watch dock has been built to charge the grand Watch with utmost ease. This charging stand features an inductive charger which remains in the dock as a result powering up your watch becomes quite comfortable. You can simply put your Apple Watch on the stand to charge and pull it off to remove from charging." I wasn't sure if that meant my cable or theirs.

I haven't ordered it yet but I think I'm going to get the Orzly DuoStand. It's very simplistic but gets the job done. I'll wait to order and electronic doc until there are some real reviews out there.

I looked at that one, but for some reason, I just couldn't pull the plug and order it.

I really loved the Unify dock, but it didn't get funded. One of the things I loved was that it came with its own charging cable, leaving the original one to be kept in a briefcase or handbag. I liked the size of it, and the simplicity of it, too. Supposedly, they are going to manufacture at a lower price point after joining forces with a larger company. I'll probably wait to see what ocmes in the near future before ordering anything.

For now, I'm using the watch insert that came with my watch and a velvet cloth on which to place it. I hope you like the Orzly.

The Unify people have apparently found an investor and this is why they pulled their crowdfunding campaign. They are pursuing the product so keep your eyes open.

I have been looking for the same thing but can't find something worthwhile. I want a very small real estate solution, not taking up too much space on my desk.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/343524485/night-stand This kickstarter is my ideal solution but for some reason it never got funded, they seem to have given up. The second best solution I found is this http://www.thingiverse.com/make:154463
I have it 3D printed by a local printer on 3Dhub.com and it works pretty well. I just wish it was prettier looking. Takes some modifications but it works great once it's tweaked. Still on the look out for a better, more elegant solution.
