Q: Shipping Info for the UK?

HI all,

As most of the responses on the main "Shipping" thread appear to be from folks in the UK I thought it might be useful to have a separate one for those of us in the UK.   I only ordered my SS 42mm Blue Milanese Loop on Launch Day (24th) so I'm still Processing, and not really expecting a delivery for some time yet (my estimate is "June"), but I wondered how deliveries/shipping was going for others over here...  Anyone from the UK actually received theirs yeT for example?

thanks for any info

I noticed last night , if you go on the website now to order mostly every model it's into July, and yes as soon as I get it or even a change in order status I'll put it up, just ordered myself the black sports band and even that's not got a proper date it just says may lol

This whole preordering fiasco has really frustrated me, I don't understand why they did it if they couldn't fulfil them? They might as well have just opened them to orders when they released and let people order and buy from stores.

I ordered 8:06am April 10th for 42mm Space Grey Sport with Black Band, given date of May 12, no movement at all.

I've heard reports of people ordered a few days ago and they have them already. I know space grey sport is one of the most popular, but it stills ruin any preorder experience with Apple.

I'm in Berkshire btw - first time "ordering" an apple product online, usually I've just gone into the store.

I Don't think there's many people in the UK got there hands on a watch, especially the stainless steal version , it's disappointing, the big hype about it comming out on the 24th and we're still here talking about receiving ours

    Thanks for that AppleManc!

These folks you've heard about who only ordered a few days ago and already have theirs, are they in the UK?

    No worries.

Yeah it was on Twitter. A guy in London ordered his April 28th (42mm sport with green sports band), arrives April 30th!

I completely agree with Chrisk, "preordering" means you get it on release day, yet we're now over a week post-release and nothing.

On Amazon, if I preorder a game or DVD, I get it on the day it comes out, maybe the day after. I know the price margin is bigger, but still completely unacceptable.

Your spot on, and I feel personally for £599 I should have atleast got it around the date of release give or take a few days, but I don't feel confident I'll see it anytime soon if I'm honest, I have a strange feeling I might not see it till June, may be wrong but gut feeling.

I agree, Chris, especially when I had to travel 100 miles by train just to visit an Apple Store and see the various models because my nearest Apple outlet in Carlisle didn't get to have the Watches in-store for viewing purposes because they aren't a "proper" Apple Store, they're an Apple "premium reseller" whatever that means.   They look like an Apple shop, only sell Apple products, NEW products I mean, so the term "re-seller" is a bit of a misnomer ...and I bought my iPad there, as well as my iMac ...but Watches, nope, they weren't allowed to have them in their shop.

I don't know what they were trying to achieve with the whole April 10th Preordering piece. It might be sad, but I went into work early to get on the site, I preordered within minutes of the store opening and hear I am, 8 days post-release with a watch-less wrist!

I would've personally preferred to queue iPhone-style, at least then you get something tangible, not a regular check-in of the apple store page for a bit of news.

    Still..."processing", absolute joke!

Thats just weird and a bit of a pain, I'm lucky I'm only half an hour from the Glasgow store, all this was exciting at the start but now the checking to see if there's any changes on my order is just annoying, I really want the watch bur I've lost a lot of the excitement I had for it.

I'm from London down south GG . Apple shops there are like mushrooms along with at least 1 third party distributor in mayfair that actually sells a limited amount of apple watches in stock   albeit in appointment only
