Q: Shipping Info for the UK?

HI all,

As most of the responses on the main "Shipping" thread appear to be from folks in the UK I thought it might be useful to have a separate one for those of us in the UK.   I only ordered my SS 42mm Blue Milanese Loop on Launch Day (24th) so I'm still Processing, and not really expecting a delivery for some time yet (my estimate is "June"), but I wondered how deliveries/shipping was going for others over here...  Anyone from the UK actually received theirs yeT for example?

thanks for any info

Just found this Thread, I'm in the same boat as the majority of the UK orders I think. Ordered on 10th April 8:10AM, delivery window 12th May - 26th May 2015. I've got the Sports 42mm Space Grey. Currently still in Processing state, was wondering if anyone has received their's or had any update recently? Also, how good are Apple at obtaining their delivery windows? Would it be this week it would be arriving?

    Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

    Matt

I was too slow at ordering and saw it said "June", so decided to wait to see if I could get one in store. Went to my local Apple Store in Glasgow and asked when it would be available. They told me you can pick one up in store late May. I'm so excited!

    Hey moneybagz

IF anyone in the UK has already received their 42mm space grey then they're definitely in the minority, I think everyone on this thread is still waiting, mostly with the same shipping date estimates as yourself, 12th/26th May.   I basically created this thread because the main Apple Watch Shipping Notices thread seemed to deal to a large extent with posters based in the U.S. and it was difficult to find out how our UK Orders were fairing.   I personally was late in ordering, because I couldn't get time off to go and view the Watches till launch day on the 24th, I ordered in store in Glasgow that day - 42mm stainless steel with bright blue leather loop - I'm still stuck with an estimate on "June" and still "Processing".   And oh yes, I'm very impatient for that to change!!

can you keep us informed of any status changes to your order please, that would especially be of interest to those who've ordered the same Watch/Strap combo as you.   The folks on this thread have all promised to do the same.

where in the UK are you out of interest?

HHey Tommy, welcome to the waiting room! Lol

can I just ask, were you told that ALL the different Watch/Strap combo's would be available to walk in and buy in late May, or was it a particular combo they promised would be available?

    Thanks!

Arrgh getting so hacked off waiting now.. I feel like the processing status is never going to change.. seeing that so many people who ordered after I did have received theirs as well is even more annoying! Patience is wearing thin... 1 month wait today!

    Hi

Like the rest of you, getting very frustrated with the wait !

Ordered my Stainless Steel with link bracelet on the 10/4/15 at 8:02, as soon as the pre-order site was working in the UK, got the seemingly standard 12-26 May delivery date, still 'processing' so far. I'd be a liar if I didn't say the total debacle on watch supply wasn't taking some of the shine away!  Always a huge Apple fan with at least one of just about everything they have, they do however have a certain knack for 'stealing defeat from the jaws of victory'  very frustrating!

I'm in exactly the same boat as you, even down the the 8.02 confirmation!

I admit to being a bit bored with the wait and hope it'll be worth it!

    Hi Scott!

Yep, me too, I always have at least one of just about everything Apple in my house, and ...I'll let you into a secret...   I'm actually a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer! LOL!!   Ironic, huh, my job is to install and maintain Windows Networks, whilst at home I never use the stuff.

My despatch date is "June" but I'm really hoping that I'm at least a little earlier than that, my birthday is 31st May and my Watch is my birthday present to myself, so come on Apple, make my day!

Don't forget to keep us informed of your orders progress everyone, thanks!

Had a chat with Apple this morning to find out that the payment for watches is taken 24-48hrs before shipment, seems like a good indicator. Still no news on my side "Processing". That word is slowly killing me lol

Funny Apple advisor told me they take the money when they have shipped the item and not before, another one told me they take it 2-3 days before they despatch and another told me they take it the moment your order goes to "preparing for shipment"

My experience has been that they take the money when the item is shipped; sometimes there appears to be a delay before they take payment, but that could simply be the way processes work between their systems and the credit card provider

You know, I still cant believe that Apple haven't offered any official statement about this pre ordering debacle. The whole point of pre ordering is to guarantee receipt on release day, and here we all are, 2 weeks post-release, all with watch-less wrists. It's absolutely shocking that a company like Apple would operate like this.

Now I know there have been delays and an overwhelming order rate, but then why offer pre ordering in the first place? Why not just open the floodgates on 24/4 and let people wait? It goes against every positive experience I personally have had with Apple. You can walk into boutique stores today and pick one up - no waiting, yet we're still here after "pre-ordering"!

I would have thought Apple would at least offer something in the way of compensations, I don't know, £5 for a good app for Watch or something. Just something to say "sorry for the wait" rather than sending gold watches to celebrities, probably for nothing! Sorry, rant over!

    Oh...still "processing"

Apple confirmed reports from 2 weeks ago that the delays are caused by one of the 2 assembly suppliers having failed to meet quality standards (the "taptic" mechanism was failing when the supplier moved to volume production). As a result, all the output (i.e. something around *half* the total of watch production) was rejected.

It takes a while to recover from that level of problem.

By the way, where are the boutique stores that have stock available? I hadn't seen any references to that, other than for the Edition
