May 20, 2015 12:30 PM in response to Ghostgirllby matythom,All SS watches scratch, whether it is in the thousands or hundreds of pounds. Polished SS can never say unscratched but it is the screen that won't catch. The scratches at character to the watch, yes you want the display to be unscratched but the case can have some small marks on it. I just think cases on the watch add bulk and take away the aesthetics of the watch.

May 20, 2015 12:34 PM in response to matythomby Ghostgirll,I suppose that's true, Maty, although it's sad advice to hear, I want my Watch to stay shiny and pretty, but preferably WITHOUT adding a protective case.

May 20, 2015 12:38 PM in response to Ghostgirllby Prowlus,Its only the sports 38mm variants that were being sold over the counter at the selfridges store although I saw alot of chinese (i'm malay chinese myself) scalpers buying them literally in bulk with god knows where they were taking them . One even tried to make me sell my ss watch to them!
Yes I do work in a industry that involves bashing and smashing alot onto my watch thats why I have the casing for it . Although if your not thrilled about the color , they also have gold and tangerine if gunmetal isn't your thing

May 20, 2015 1:03 PM in response to Prowlusby Ghostgirll,OK, thanks Once my watch arrives I'll try it for a day or two before deciding if it needs extra protection. I've already ordered some screen protectors tho!
Join oin our UK Apple Watch Owners Club Facebook, we're up to over 20 members now, and it's been great to discuss everything Watch related with those who have (and have not) yet received theirs. Members who've already got a Watch are proving very amenable to answering questions, posting vids, etc, for the benefit of us who are still waiting!

May 21, 2015 3:22 AM in response to Prowlusby Ghostgirll,I'll have a look Prowls, thanks
Well my latest order despatch date of 22nd to 29th of June seems to be the default window for most people who originally were just told "June". I'll be interested to hear from anyone who's in that category now, and who sees a change to that status before me.
If Apple sticks to that window and doesn't bring my shipment date forward then it will be 9 weeks or more from ordering to receiving my watch. This exceeds the "around 6 weeks" estimate I was given verbally in-store when I ordered, by at least 3 weeks. Harsh.

May 21, 2015 3:32 AM in response to Ghostgirllby donny_edinburgh,I think Apple (Tim Cook) stating that watches will be available in store from June is a bit of a kick in the teeth to people who have pre-ordered. The least they could do is make sure that the current orders are fulfilled before then.

May 21, 2015 7:52 AM in response to Ghostgirllby matythom,Has anyone else noticed that many of the stocks are now staying 4-6 weeks for the 42mm which is the same (even a little earlier) than my delivery date of 22nd-29th June? Hopefully that means they will be shipping earlier than they expected

May 21, 2015 8:11 AM in response to matythomby gjdemon,My 42mm SS Black medium leather loop has just changed to the window of the 17th June to the 24th.
I am seeing on forums that people have been getting the watches up to 2 weeks before in the UK.
I do think its terrible they will be in the shops in June and yet we have ordered in April or May and still haven't received them

Changed from what, gjdemon? Are you saying that you previously had 22nd to 29th but that that's just moved forward a bit to 17th June to the 24th?
When did you order your SS Black leather loop? I'm in the leather loop club too (42mm, medium, only the blue one), but still saying 22nd to 29th for me.

May 21, 2015 8:56 AM in response to Ghostgirllby Ghostgirll,TO ADMIN?
Can you tell me why this thread has been moved from the "Using Apple Watch", to the "Apple Watch Hardware" section of the User Communities, please?
This thread does get a little off topic occasionally and discuss hardware, but only in an oblique fashion that's peripheral to the main discussion. The thread's main purpose is NOT really Hardware related overall, its about Shipping Info, which yes, I suppose could be said to relate to the Watch's hardware, but it seems to me is still more about getting, and using the Watch.
I'm requesting that you put it back in it's original section primarily because a lot of the people who are posting on this thread will look back in that section when they want to find the thread again (as I did, and it took me ages to find it again) when they want to update us on their order's new status.
Thanks

May 21, 2015 9:14 AM in response to Ghostgirllby Trooperoonie,Hi Ghostgirll and others in this thread. I ordered my Apple watch on 16th April 2015 in the Apple Store in Edinburgh. Recently, I noticed that my order delivery status had changed from June to a slot between 22nd and 29th June. I contacted Apple Customer service today to explain that I will be on holiday that week and asked for the delivery to be made the week before, if possible. After HALF AN HOUR on the 'phone, I was told that the best they can do is to delay the delivery until I get back from my hols. Come on Apple, HALF AN HOUR and having to wait even more patiently until the BEGINNING OF JULY!!! That's two and a half months!!! I am thinking about cancelling my order and getting it quicker when they arrive in the stores.......

May 21, 2015 9:19 AM in response to Trooperoonieby roddylarge,With all due respect trooper, why should you get your watch earlier than me or others on here just because you happen to be on holidays during your delivery window. ? You are not the only person waiting.
Apple have acted correctly here in my opinion. Granted it shouldn't have taken 30mins to inform you of this.
I do hope though that your watch ships earlier than 22/6.
