May 21, 2015 9:44 AM in response to Trooperoonieby Ghostgirll,Hi Trooper Thanks for popping by to give us thoughts. Which watch/strap combo did you order?
i can totally sympathise with the long wait, a number of us now appear to have the same 22/29 June despatch estimate. But I agree with Roddy too, it wouldn't be fair for your order to be despatched out of turn and before others with the same order date and despatch status. But on the plus side, worst comes to worst, if your watch doesnt appear before the 22nd at least when you're feeling a bit down because your holiday is over you'll have something else to look forward to when you get back home!
Join oin our UK Apple Watch Owners Club Facebook, we're up to over 30 members now, and it's been great to discuss everything Watch related with those who have (and have not) yet received theirs. Members who've already got a Watch are proving very amenable to answering questions, posting vids, etc, for the benefit of us who are still waiting!

May 21, 2015 11:56 AM in response to Ghostgirllby gjdemon,HI Ghostgirl,
I ordered the 42mm black medium leather loop on the 25th April. it initially said June dispatch.
then on Monday this week it changed to expected deliver 22nd - 29th June. On logging into my account on Tuesday morning this week it had changed to the 17th - 24th june and has stayed there.
Is your the same and when did you order it?

May 21, 2015 12:22 PM in response to gjdemonby Ghostgirll,Ok, gotcha, so we ordered a day apart, mine was 24th of May, and I ordered in-store in Glasgow. Went immediately to "June" estimate, then changed to 22nd to 29th on Monday this week, same as you. I'm still there, with no further changes. Mine is 42mm SS with medium bright blue leather loop.

May 22, 2015 1:04 AM in response to Ghostgirllby Cruiser89,So I'm back... Not with good news though!!
Had my Apple Watch less than 7 days (Space Grey 42mm Sports). It's been pretty much glued to my wrist and unfortunately the Taptic Engine has failed. It's lost it's prominence and sounds horrible. Spoken to Apple Care this morning and it's been classed as faulty and it's going back for a replacement and not a repair.
Looks like the reports in the media about the taptic engines failing is true and not all were re-called. There are some in the market place. Just so everyone has a reference point. Using my serial and that website checker:
http://www.chipmunk.nl/cgi-fast/applemodel.cgi
Production week: 18 (May)
Factory: FH
(This production week was after Apple found out about the dodgy factory with dodgy taptic engines)
Not that happy but the two Apple Care people have been really helpful. It's getting picked up on Tues and will have to wait a week for my new one to arrive. I go to a priority shipment so it jumps the queue.
So I'm back to waiting again now!! Arghhhh

May 22, 2015 2:29 AM in response to Cruiser89by Ghostgirll,Oh no! That's really horrible news, Cruiser, after all the waiting, checking order status, hanging in there, and finally getting your watch, only to then have to send it right back?? Jeez, you must be sooooo annoyed!,
DId Apple tell you they about their Taptic Engine issues when you called them to report the problem? I can't help but wonder how many more faulty watches slipped through the net, now. only positive thing is they don't seem to be giving you any hassle with getting a replacement out as quickly as possible, but I guess that's not much consolation to you, huh?
Did it start to fail right away?

May 22, 2015 3:10 AM in response to Ghostgirllby Cruiser89,Yeah it's not the best thing. Grown to really love the watch, so useful and my arm feels weird without it on! I am annoyed but they have promised me a quick-turnaround and sorted out a gesture of good will for the inconvenience which I'm happy with, taken the sting out of it all. The two people I spoke to were very helpful and fully agreed that it wasn't right, didn't bother trying out resets etc as I already have. No barriers, just straight up agreed with me which is half the battle sometimes. I told them because i hadn't even had it 7 days I didn't want a repair.
I've got my new order in my online account that says shipping between June & July but that will change once UPS pick up the old one. Once the signature is received from UPS to Apple they will automatically issue the new one. Part of Apple Care that they won't wait for it to be tested etc.
No I already knew about the problems as that is why supply times have been so long. Basically 50% of the watches that were being churned out failed the longevity test (Which mine has now failed). Apple re-called and changed factory or parts or something along those lines. This issue was picked up way before pre-orders started shipping but mine was only built a week before I got it which shows that there could be a whole lot of them out there.
Started off perfect and I noticed yesterday (6 days) that it was making a weird noise from the engine and the tapping was really faint and fuzzy (I wear my very close to my skin as it feels like you're not wearing it) so there is definitely an issue and I noticed the difference. Plus I can change a load of settings on the watch fine but every time I try to update the software on it, says the phone isn't connected when it is.
I'm keeping it over the weekend ready for pickup on Tues, I don't mind waiting a week or so for it as that initial excitement of a new gadget has gone, I know what I'm getting etc. Any longer and I won't be happy.

May 22, 2015 3:25 AM in response to Ghostgirllby gjdemon, anyone who ordered a 42mm with a leather loop got a estimated date before the 17th June yet?
-
May 22, 2015 4:10 AM in response to Cruiser89by Ghostgirll,That's really touch, Cruiser, I don't know if I'd be so calm about it if it was me. Hope you don't mind but I copied your initial post reporting the problem onto our UK Apple Watch Owners Club Facebook page so others can check their factory info. Already at least one other person has found that his details are the same as yours, so I think he's going to get his watch checked out at an Apple Store today.
let us know how you get on, will you?
@gjdemon
Nope, sorry, my leather loop is still saying 22nd to 29th of Jume. Has yours moved forward at all?
