Closing Applications on Apple Watch.

When you close an app on your iPhone you double press the home and then close the apps. Does this have to be done with the Apple Watch as well? Thanks.

It doesn't need to be done on the iPhone, either. As nick101 indicated, the operating system manages the memory quite well. They only time you should really need to force quit an app is if it's not working (e.g. freezes).

Long pressing the side button to bring up power off and then long closing again will close the app. You can't really tell, but if you go into an app you haven't closed it will be at the last point you were the last time you went it, if you close it then when you go back in it will start from fresh, so I can only assume this confirms it's been closed. But as others have said you shouldn't really need to do this unless you're really having problems with battery. And maps is probably the best to close. From what I have read online, if maps remains opens it keep toggling back to the phone for your current position. I may be wrong though :-)
