Itunes help-importing compilation album

Hi , looking for help. when I import some compilation albums into iTunes I get a display for every song rather than them grouped under the one album. But when I go into 'Get Info '' to edit the group of songs and try make changes eg show as part of a compilation , the changes don't seem to get saved that I make ?

any advice appreciated
