IBA and databases (sort of...)

I am creating a food product catalogue in IBA. The products will be listed in a long scrollable list.

My question is...

When a product is 'clicked-on' is it possible that the selected product(s) could go into a list/database file?

iPad Mini, iOS 8.3

This would require developing a custom HTML widget. Although, with very little description provided, it's hard to judge the level of effort this would entail.
