HI, so I bought my iPhone 6 from carphone warehouse, it's a sim free phone and I know that it locks to the first sim I put in the phone. I put an 02 SIM card in, and I took it out when I put the sim back iin, it said Sim not valid and it's from a carrier not supported by this IPhone, I've tried everything to make this sim work, restating the phone and restoring it but it still doesn't work, any suggestions please?

So you activated the device with an o2 SIM? Why did you take the SIM out? Replacing the SIM should not register a SIM not valid message unless you are trying to activate it again? Did you try and restore the phone again, or what exactly were you doing that you removed the SIM and replaced it?
Hi, I took the sim out because I wanted to use a giffgaff sim which supposedly works under O2, I thought I should re try the 02 sim card before placing my giffgaff sim but then the sim not valid message appeared
GiffGaff sim cards are nothing but hacks. You will receive not support for your issue on these forums, per the terms of use.

Did you turn the phone off when you were munging around with the SIM?
I didn't use the giffgaff sim tho
giffgaff SIMs corrupt the baseband on the phone. You now have an iBrick.
Can you post a link to how it corrupts the baseband? Giffgaff has won some awards and is an iPhone retailer...
Put the original SIM back in and try restoring again.
When you got the SIM did you tell them it's an iPhone? Sometimes you need a specific SIM card for certain carriers. When I switched to prepaid I had to go back 3 times to get the right SIM card. They kept giving me iPhone 5 SIM not 5S SIM cards. Worked out in the end though!
