.qt movie files

I have a movie file from the year 2000 that has a .qt file extension. I can't get it to play on anything (Quicktime, VLC, etc.). I can't even convert it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try QT 7 player for playback (QT 7 "Pro" for conversion). Or post a copy of the file for further tests. Only sample file I could find on the internet contained a single frame QuickDraw image without audio which I managed to convert to an MOV file with an H.264 single frame image for QT/QL compatibility without problem.
