GPS car doc for iPhone 6?

Question

My iPhone 4 just died. I'm getting an iPhone 6.

I have a TomTom car kit for my iPhone 4. It has a GPS chip in it that augments the iPhone 4's GPS abilities.

TomTom does not seem to make a car kit for iPhone 6.

Is that because the iPhone 6 has better GPS and needs no augmentation?

If not, are there any other car kits with GPS augmentation built in?

Probably because they would have to licence the Lightning plug not seen similar for years

Look on Amazon for probably the widest selection of mounts
