I sold my iphone 5c running OS 8 and when erased it must of accidently put phone number in and now says its lost so new owner can't use it. How do fix this on iCloud in find my phone, when i don't have it?

As you have discovered, if you have sold your phone there are a number of things you should do before giving it to the new owner. Fortunately, there are ways you can correct this if the phone is already with the new owner. See this article -
