Bottom corner of trackpad is sticky / gets jammed

I have recently started to notice that the bottom left corner of my trackpad is sticky and sometimes gets stuck. The bottom right corner of my trackpad is fine and sometime the bottom left works fine. Currently you can feel that the bottom left is sluggish and often it starts getting stuck.

I can only assume that this is a mechanical issue? Is there a fix that I can try myself or will Apple cover this under warranty (i've got a 3 year Apple care plan).

Thanks in advance!

Hi

Could you update us the outcome? I am having similar issue on my late 2013, 15'' MBP. But mine is on the bottom right side of trackpad. The travel/click is very minimal at best.

Unfortunately, I am out of warranty period.

Would love to find out the diagnosis you got. I am schedule for an appointment for Monday.

Regards,

Arun
