Q: compressor 4.2 won't render any files

ever since updating to compressor 4.2 i cannot render ANY files. I get rendering error 10008. I'm a professional videographer, and am screwed until i can this fixed. help! almost all my videos are basic clips with little to no graphics. 15 to 30 seconds long.

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

What kind of (format) clips are you trying to compress? Will a garden variety .mov file compress?

they are .mov. and, no won't compress. keeps failing. my camera records AVCHD. i import as apple pro res. or H.264. they all fail. even motion jpeg

Use FCS Remover (very safe…I've used it many times) to completely uninstall Compressor and remove any support files. Download and re-install.

ok ill try that, are there any particular supporting files i should look for that may not be apparent at first glance?

I Used FCS Remover, and then reinstalled. Still doing the same thing. Any other suggestions?

What hardware are you using and what software other than Compressor? How are you importing your AVCHD as Pro Res?
