Recently i saw a clip where the main character was dancing against a white background (i.e. green screen )
curiously there was a black silhouette of the same character kind of mimicking her- like shadow but not in sync. How do you achieve this effect?

you need two recordings:
Dance act #1 (could be done in front of an infinite white, or green screen)
Dance act #2.(has to be done in a green screen)
'Color correct' act#1 to be a black silhouette
use this as background for Dance Act #2 ....
=> elaborated effect, can not be accomplished in iMovie, asks for FCPX ... 😐 sorry to say...
