headless macmini at 1920*1024

Hello

I want to use a macmini as headless computer to connect by Apple Remote Desktop to run an Application over a VPN connection

Default I have only 1280*1024 und 1024*768

I would like to have 1920*1080. For this purpose I use SwitchResX. I was able to get the resolution but the Menu Bar became black. So this solution is not usefull. Is their another way the get an headless computer run with 1920*1080 (also antoher resolutuon like 1920*1200 should be OK)

Any Idea?

regards

Gérard

You need a dongle or a monitor that does not have to be on. It may have to be on initially but not later, connected to the video out on the mini. I know that because I use screen sharing on my Mac Pro and have two montiors connected but the monitors not turned one and I see the to screens and their resiltion. Otherwise you only have low resolutions as you found out
