Does one have a 'BLINKING' title effect in FCPX?

Hello to all!

While sitting with a video editor who was using Final Cut, I observed he had put in a blinking effect to a title. Is there such a blinking effect available for FCPX?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), garage band, FCPX:10.2, iPhone 5,

I think the effect you are referring to is a type of strobe . . . try this plugin:-

Or this one . . . http://finalcutpros.net/2014/05/02/strobe-autostrobe-effects-fcpx/

Can you show us an example of what you are trying to achieve?

It is fairly easy to creating a "blinking" effect by varying the opacity of the clip. One could do this in Motion, but here is a simple "manual" way to do this:

select your title, and move to the beginning of the timeline, set a keyframe on opacity and change to 0%. Then move along the timeline, and keep changing opacity - here a little movie: http://youtu.be/B-YsVBSNE8c

Thanks for your reply Luis.

I guess my need has been expressed in more detail in my above reply.

I do am aware that it could be manually set by keying opacity. But having a 'preset effect' would make the task easier and faster! When such an effect is available for Final Cut users, I supposed that it would also be available in FCPX.

Regards and have a nice day.
