May 1, 2015 8:23 PM in response to akimssetby Glenn Leblanc,The iCloud Drive is different than the iCloud Photo Library. The iCloud Photo Library does not show in the finder. Go to the iCloud.com website and log in there to see what's available.

but do not know how to include picture library from
iDrive. Could You tell me?

May 2, 2015 5:46 AM in response to akimssetby Glenn Leblanc,Your picture library is stored in your user account in the folder called Pictures. It is being backed up to Time Machine already. If you wish to make a separate backup, copy that folder or the library in the folder to an external drive.
I do't know what iDrive is.

May 2, 2015 7:57 AM in response to Glenn Leblancby akimsset,iDrive = iCloud Drive
On ipad settings, iCloud wet to use iCloud drive
Yes I found this. But it says
Keep a version of original photos
and the library is sorted in date order
Do You know if it keeps all editing and grouping in events/momentws?
Thats what worries me. Over 300 events and over 7000 potos
Think of all cropping to do them fit on 16:9 screen

May 2, 2015 9:24 AM in response to akimssetby Glenn Leblanc,Once again, iCloud Drive and iCloud Photo Library are 2 completely different things. I think you are confusing the two things.
iCloud Photo Library is what you use with the Photos Application. That stores your photos on the iCloud server. I think that is what you are referring to. Photos converts you events from iPhoto to albums. Photos does not create new events when you import pictures. You will have to manually create albums if that's what you want.
There is no picture library on iCloud Drive. If you are using iCloud Photo Library, you can read up on some facts about using it here at this site. It gives a lot of explanation and usage:

May 3, 2015 1:48 AM in response to Glenn Leblancby akimsset,Thabks for the link
A very good one.
The question how to backup to external disc i think is solved
The Picture library does not seem to store your albums etc.
when You look at it in Finder. Just date folders.
But Yes it does through the App
I tested to disconnect from Internet on my imac 5k
Started the app and it was all there. MUCH OBLIGED.
One thing more.
The Faces function was gone on iOS units the last update
Works fine on imac
Do You think I messed something up or is it not included
in this version.
Thanks for helping a 75 year old "hacker"

May 3, 2015 5:32 AM in response to akimssetby Glenn Leblanc,I don't know what to tell you about Faces on iOS devices. I'm not sure what Faces appears using the iCloud Photo Library. My understanding is that Faces data is only available on the device that created them.
